Marmara or Dialiskari is some 85 km far south of Chania and 5 km west of Loutro; a pebble beach with a rocky seabed which makes it ideal for snorkeling. The beach is located at the exit of the Aradena Gorge and very popular even though it is not easy to reach.

The island of Chrissi, some 12 km off the coast of the town of Ierapetra, is known for its turquoise waters, white beaches, sand dunes and its pine and juniper forest.
