Agios Pavlos - a destination off the beaten track
Agios Pavlos, Crete is a delightful small coastal village in the Rethymnon prefecture, some 58 km from the city of Rethymnon.
The long sandy beach with its crystal-clear waters is ideal for swimming and snorkelling and its high sand dunes offer amazing views.
Remotely located, Agios Pavlos is not overrun by tourist. There are some accommodation facilities, a yoga centre, and only a few taverns with, however, excellent dishes and fresh seafood.
With miles of almost empty beaches only a short walk away, it is a very special place, ideal for relaxing, quiet holidays.

How to get there:
Due to its remote location (part of the road is a dirt road), there are no bus services to and from Agios Pavlos; it can only be reached by taxi or rental car.
